What Rate My Cheer was built to do
Purpose of the platform
Rate My Cheer was originally built to give parents and athletes a structured, drama-free way to review All Star gyms — something traditional review platforms do not support well.
- Provide consistent, category-based ratings for All Star gyms.
- Offer anonymous reviews to encourage honest, constructive feedback.
- Give gym owners insight into how they are perceived by their customers over time.
What is included in the asset
Technical assets
- Full GitHub repository for the Rate My Cheer platform (Next.js App Router, TypeScript, Tailwind, Shadcn UI).
- Structured rating model and Supabase-compatible schema for gyms, reviews, and subratings.
- UX flows for browsing gyms, submitting and editing reviews, flagging unsafe content, and basic admin moderation.
- Reusable components and styling that can be kept, reskinned, or adapted to a different youth-sports vertical.
Brand assets
- The RateMyCheer.com domain.
- Existing social media accounts associated with Rate My Cheer, available to transfer as part of the asset sale.
- An established name and positioning in a clear, underserved niche where parents already look for honest feedback.
How the platform worked
The live site has been retired and the backend has been fully removed for user-privacy reasons. A screen-recorded walkthrough is available and demonstrates:
- Browsing gyms and viewing structured rating breakdowns.
- Submitting and editing a review using a dummy account.
- Flagging unsafe content for moderation.
- Adding a new gym to the directory.
- Navigating the admin dashboard used to review gyms and manage content.
